Saudi Arabia's first cement producer, Arabian Cement Co. Ltd. (ACC), added a new 7,000 tonnes per day (TPD) line to its existing plant in Rabigh. Our engineers were responsible for the commissioning of 13.8 kV switchgear and the protection system for three generators. “I really enjoyed working with the colleagues from ABB as well as the other professionals working at Rabigh. Everybody did his best to create a pleasant working atmosphere. We commissioned 15 feeders with ABB’s REF542 plus relays, as well as the generator protection system using ABB’s SPAD346C“, said an engineer involved in the project.
