The Hamriyah power plant is being built in Ras El-Khaimah for the Sharjah Electricity & Water Authority (SEWA). Aspecto’s engineers fulfilled several HV commissioning tasks as a subcontractor of ABB. Aspecto’s commissioning specialists ensured a rapid connection of numerous HV installations to power between 2007 and 2010. One of the Aspecto engineers said, “We were responsible for the commissioning of many different systems. We did the 132 kV and 220 kV busbar protection commissioning, the transformer protection commissioning for two 300 MVA transformers, the commissioning of line protection with auto reclosure for four 220 kV lines, as well as the differential protection commissioning of two 132 kV cables”.
